Sorry Martin, but it's not a Veron model. The Veron RTTL came out at just under 30"OAL,mine is 35"OAL,and having seen a Veron kit,I can tell you that the bulkheads don't match up. I have a part scan of the Vic Smeed plan, which confirms my initial statement. This boat was originally designed around a small diesel engine, which makes her rather heavy for a convertion to leccy power, which I've found out,I burned out a 550 motor, actually,I fused the motor leads and fried the windings. 😯 At the moment, she's still sitting on my shelf awaiting another motor and water cooling set-up.

HI dreadstar,
Think this is from an old veron kit probably dating from
mid 1950's to late 60's. it is surprising how many have survived and they can still be found on flebay.

Vosper RTTL

Hi,

I am a boat modeller from Brazil and I am starting collect information and pics to build my vosper rttl. I "stoled" a lot of pics, including those that you have posted.

I would realy appreciae if you can e-mail me the plans of the RTTL. I decided that I will construct it but it´s very difficult, for a not so experienced modeller like me, guess all the sizes and dimensions based exclusively on pics.

I found some utilities that print the Image on tiling, helped a little but it´s not enough. That doesn´t have scale.

The hull (74cm) , with motor, radio ant etc it´s almost ready, but need to know all the rest.

Thank you very much, and hope to ear from you.

I think it more likely that she's based on the old Vic Smeed plan that appeared in the Christmas edition of Model Boats circa 1958.

Thanks for that Mike. My boat, although she has the twin rudders, only has the one prop,(now a 2-bladed nylon racing 40mm).She is powered by a FMA 550 motor, running on 7.2V 4300MAh matched racing packs, which give me around 35-40 mins run time,(if I don't flog it speed wise).
