Garth, you surprise me!
It never ceases to astonish me how many members we have, some of several years standing, who have apparently never explored the site, including their own Accounts (!) to find out what they can do to make it work for them the way they would like it to.
The simplest of which is allowing or stopping Notifications by Email from within our own Account settings.
Garth, see my advice to RPLedm, three posts below. He is a newby, but you and I have been around the MB barbecue for 10 years or so😉

I totally agree with RPLedm. In the last few days, I have had emails telling me to answer Game chest & a lot about AI stuff, getting a pain in my delete finger & trash folder. Gee-Wiz, I'll be told my P/C has a virus on it, sorry if I've infected anyone, can't afford to get it fixed.

My email was filling up with an alarming and overwhelming number of friendly notifications about new stuff. I know it's Easter but I did feel like a mother duck with a clutch of fluffy bobbing hatchlings. So I turned off everything but now I need to slowly bring up the account grid, as in the 2003 North Eastern Electric grid failure. What do I turn on first to keep the minimum number of manageable items?

Yes there is. (And it doesn't involve any Astrophysics or Quantum Mechanics😉)
Open your Account page. Go to the 'General Notifications' and simply switch off all or only the ones you aren't interested in.

Is there a switch to unsubscribe from the emails telling you when a comment has been made on posting?
