Simons Town Dockyard

When I lived in South Africa in the 70’s Simon’s Town was used by the British Navy.
It is heart breaking to see how that beautiful country has declined.

The South African Navy has 1 serviceable frigate out of 4
No serviceable submarines out of 4
A sad state indeed.
This is a picture of the gate house at the entrance to the Simons Town Dock Yard and this is not a joke. Look carefully at the “guards”.
