Hi Ron
Looks to be a small model, what are the dimensions?
I agree a removable keel would possibly work. However the boat is open and if it heels too far will be in danger of sinking.
If this is to sail on your small test pond that won't be a problem.
Please keep us posted on how you proceed.

Anyone have experience doing an R/C conversion on one of these?

I have read some river barge posts done by others on this website. It appeared, they added a removable keel and bulb?
