Are there any members on site who once floated their boats on the lake on Wanstead Flats (top of Canhall Road) the lake dried out in the summer of 1976 (OMG am I giving my age away) and never refilled again. The reason I am asking is that I am looking for a friend of them days, who due to the drying out I lost contact with
