Many thanks for your help so far. I am going to Germany on Wednesday but e-mail will still be working. I think it will be the KENNETH THELWALL or the EDWARD BRIDGES. Not sure yet. I have (temporarily made the kicking boards from Balsa, then treated this with Wood Rot liquid which has made the Balsa rock hard, then with white paint over the top, tedious but is solid and looks good. I shall carry on dreaming for a while about making the ladder. I've made one (from Foamalite) , did'nt like it and binned it. My wife said that it was good but being a dammed perfectionist I was not happy with it. Now for the rails - oh dear. Hear you soon (I hope) - Gordon 👋
