About this boat

Collected the same day as the Rapier, a 500 mile round trip (I know, mad). Out with the old power unit, a HP 61 silencer (for sale if anyone's interested), ready for a brushless of some kind, any suggestions what size would be best suited ?

    Hi Zooma,
Thanks for the motor suggestion. Any help is good, the last time I had anything to do with electrics was 1969, the best back then does not even compare with todays brushless beauties.
Had fun getting the Javelins fuel tank out this morning. It was quite chunky and half filled the mid section and had been fastened in with resin. I feared I might wreck the hull, but after a lot of persuasion, it came out ! Now I can clean the interior out ready for the refit.
Even though this boat is a little worse for wear, it is such a lovely shape. I look forward to the day she gets on the water and shows what she can do.
    Steve.

Nice to see you have also acquired "the other" large LesRo hull Steve!
I am often tempted to fit another glow engine into a hull as I could use it locally - but not on the Southport Club lake (electric only).
I have found the T3648-1450 motor to give a superb performance in the Rapier/Javelin/Streaker (same hull) and strongly recommend it if you are looking for good white water performance.
