My 2 local clubs are electric only due to 'noise' as we both operate on Council leased land. One in a public park, the other within an enclosed park that the public have access to along Centurion Society of Model Engineers and Pretoria R/C Truckers.
I was offered a 39" Brave Borderer for GBP100 with an Irvine in it, would have cost to much to modify. Both Clubs no Speeedboats Thanks Greenie Beeniesπ€π€ π Like

Hi Ianh, no she was powered with a 380 size electric motor. That had already been removed.they had left the prop shaft and steering servo as well as a Tamiya style battery pack. There was also a small motor heat sink in the boat.
I am trying to slowly remove all my IC engines an replace them with electric motors. It peeves that everywhere near me are banning IC. I've sold off 7 new IC's that I had plans for. still have I blinged up just bench run in 22.5cc Zenoah and 3 just about run in 22.5c engines in boats to remove and sell off. One is in my 4ft PT109, one in a Navicraft Outrage and another in a 4 ft bat boat. I have also recently removed 2 small pull start IC's. One in a Miss Budwiser and one in a 2ft CEN but I cannot remember its full name. Also a very used Irvine 61 out of a 4ft RAF Crash Tender. My wife pulls her hair out every time I go out to a boot fair or a model exhibision in case I come home with another boat. Sorry to go on abit. Thanks for your question though. Electric/ Brushless seems to be the only way to go. I'm afraid I'm a speed freak. π Like

Hi pauladams, Sadly still sitting in the shed. I have cut out 2 pieces of 3mm ply ready to start to repair the cabin sides, but still not fitted them I have purchased a small ish brushless motor and ecs. But due to major house repairs and decorating. All things have been halted. I have seriously wrecked both Port & Starboard rota cuffs and Arthritis I am now a bit behind with all things that need doing. ππ. I have also aquired a Miss Budwisser Hydroplane?? I have removed the small glow engine and will be fitting a brushless in her. The wife wasn't amused to see another boat enter the house π (NOT ANOTHER ONE). But will hope to get something done one day. The 28" RAF Crash Tender I started 16 years ago is still on top of one of the sitting room cupboards waiting to be finished. I will get there one day and will post some more pictures. Thanks anyway for the ask. π
