   Didn't Cash recently build one of these for his Texas Navy Flotilla?
   Sure it was more like 1/35?

   Just looked up Cash's version; Robbe kit, 1/40 ~35".

   So 1/72 comes out at about 20", which I just confirmed at Tamiya.com🤔
