You are being way too kind!Time wise was three years of building. For reference material I went to USCG Museum NW in Seattle. They were wonderful. They sent me photos of the Gibbs and Cox Builder's model as well as plans. Navsource was great for photos of the class. I also found a essay by her first skipper that described,, in depth, her first cruise to Greenland. Floating Drydock also supplied plans. The frame, keel and ribs, I found for sale by a laser cutter. I found the hull to be short so I lenghened appropriately and planked it with 1/8 x 3/8" Bassword strips followed by putty and finally F/G cloth and resin. Shapeways and John Haynes were instrumental for fittings. I've never posted it, but I do have a build log.

A superior project with great attention to detail. Also the paint job is pretty good too👍! Can you describe the amount of hours spent on it's building, reference material, weight, etc. I've viewed a number of model WIND CLASS breakers but your's is the best. I see you are located in Maine, spent three years maintaining buoys along the states rugged coast, from Eastport to Portland.

Thank you for your kind comments. She sails wonderfully. Very stable quite fast(way over scale), and turns on a dime.(barn door of a rudder), besides having indepentent throttles that allow her to spin in place. Spin might be a bit over stating it, how about rotate. She mounts lot's of lights, but I have yet to run her anight. My next sddition is a magnetically mounted camera for the fwd 5" mount and rotational control for the mount.
