Purchased this in London at the Greenwich model show in 1995 it is the actual model used in a kit review in "Model Boats" in June that year. Once the original motor failed I have struggled to get her back up to speed, trying various brushed options, Then I saw a Brushless conversion on eBay. I bought a cheaper version of that motor, The difference was unbelievable, not hyper, but very quick on 16.8v. A couple of trim tabs fitted has compensated for balance , giving a level sail with more speed and flatter turning. She turns direction instantly. Adding another 4.8v increases speed considerably. excellent in the most choppy of waters. updated 2015 (Motor: C5055/05 KV700 outrunner) (ESC: Big red brick 100A 29v) (10/10)
