Located in mid-Pinellas County, Florida, U.S.A., the SSMBC meets on the first and third Sundays of each month weather permitting (certain holidays are excluded). The pond is over 300 feet (100m) in diameter and surround with trees that mitigate most wind conditions. The county provided a large floating dock (about 10 feet by 40 feet) with step done platforms at four places to ease boat launching and retrieval.
