Hi Gary
Thanks for the comments what a brilliant idea in the back of my mind i new multiples could be fitted but had completely forgot about it. I would have to look into how multiples fit together but it would be a cheap and easy way to improve performance. Being new to steam can I ask why a second engine would make it self starting

Hi Tomo,
The engines would have to have their crank shafts connected together with the pistons being 90 degrees offset to each other. then it would be self starting.

Sat and thought about the question I asked is it because there is always one piston over the steam port

Hi Mick, as I remember and I am sure it's on the fly-wheel, and is a small dowel thing and they literally connect together. I have seen four of them connected together, and it looked very neat and of course quite powerful. Out of curiosity, I googled Tony Green and could not get any information on the USE engine, no mention of it at all, which I thought was rather strange. Regards, Gary.
