Morning sailors! My names Jordan I am a new member here on the forums, I’ve just acquired my first pre moulded hull of a sand Heron dredger, she measures in at 3ft long, I am also in the process of a scratch build torpedo boat as my first ever model (threw myself in the deep end) however she is coming along okay bit far from pretty. The vessel SAND HERON (IMO: 8900701, MMSI: 232626000) is a Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger that was built in 1990 ( 32 years old ).
At 1524, on 30 July 2001, the French fishing vessel Celtit collided with the UK aggregates dredger Sand Heron in the north-east traffic lane of the Dover TSS.
Evening gents, after a slight delay in collecting the sand heron hull, I finally manage to get it picked up tonight so here it is, I look forward to getting stuck in with this build.
