A quick makeover and in the word's of Meatloaf, "all revved up and no place to go ".
Brushed motor from the spares box, repositioned in line with the rudder this time, a rookie mistake when first built. A couple of "push bars" made from some half round conduit and then faced with a foam backed rubber strip, this should hopefully limit potential damage when rescuing stricken craft. Finally, as with all good rescue vehicles, you need some flashing lights, voila. Now I just need the winds to die down and then go out to "play "๐Ÿ˜

One of my first attempts at building from scratch, although my rc "expertise " was very limited and I couldn't get it to work properly, so shelved for the duration. Now brought back to "life " as the need for a "rescue craft" /on the odd occasion when at the lake on my own-I always take a spare vessel and tx with me, but nosing a striken boat back to shore with a "pointy bow " is difficult ๐Ÿ˜‚.
So stripped out the rudder, realigned the prop tube as that wasn't central ๐Ÿค” ๐Ÿ˜ณ and replaced the water cooled motor which was ineffectual with a brushed motor, possibly a 340 from the spares box ๐Ÿ“ฆ. Hopefully I can finish off this weekend and give it a test run ๐Ÿ˜€

Rescuing a boat in need is always a good thing.
    Enjoy the process.
