Hello ..sanding the hull, applying a coat or two of Dope, this is a mix of Dope and thinners, about 25% thinners. Regards Muddy.

Hello..Finish off the upperworks, make and fit the dummy engine boxes, start cabin tissue covering, mainly the balsa to be tissued, the ply sanded up nicely after a couple of coats of dope/thinners at 25%. The Red Lightweight tissue was some i found from the aircraft days, served its purpose. Regards Muddy.

Hello.... Tissue covering for the hull.. Is a heavy weight tissue, left over from earlier models, The hull is doped, with added thinners 25% thinners, Not laid on in complete full length pieces overlapping joints along bottom and side faces, At edges all were overlapped by about 1", this is at the keel , chine edges and deck edges and all edges are torn not cut with scissors or modeling knife. Tissue is applied to surfaces and dope solution is painted on, trying to work around curves and corners, just like a advertisement poster man.. Even at transom, all corners/edges are overlapped by about 1".. The torn or teared edges will blend in better than a cut sharp edge. Regards Muddy.
