Your set-up seems good. Howevertheseolder style American harbour TID style boats were not meant for speed, which this one clearly is. I accept that model scale speed needs to be up slightly to look OK on the water but this 12mph is more akin to a Fast Patrol Boat. OR am Imissing something!
Please don,t take this as a critisism as the rest of your published fleet seem great. 😎 👍
No,No, I agree 12mph is fast I may have over exaggerated her power!
I'm using 6V system but I can also bump it up to 12V in needed!
Note, I built her a year ago and have not yet put her in the water yet! I plan to do so this year, and when I do I will video it and post it! 👍
Serenity and her Barge, if you Look carefully you can see that her lines are made up of bowline knots. I couldn't make any Eye splices as my eyes aren't as good as they use to be!
By the way the Barge is the Dumas Barge Kit, of which I've built Barge No.1 Barge No.2 isn't Built yet!

I used over 25 clips to hold the hull together, also everything is just positioned as I was not sure if I wanted to use the Original design of the JERSEY CITY!
I wanted something different so as I put her together I started Improving, making her some what my own.
Let not forget the Dinghy!

I've glued the Hull together and have also used Bondo to the Keel, having done that I also sanded it.
Make sure the keel is sanded and leave a little grit on the surface for the primer and paint to stick to!

I replaced the original Stem post with a bitt I made myself out of aluminum wire.
It's embedded about 5/8" into the cap-rail and bulwark.
It makes for a strong tow astern!
also I reinforced the Bow using 3/8" pieces of plastic.

I cut the original Vent stacks that where in the back of the cabin located where you see the pink and black pieces.
I made my own mushroom vents which were made of plastic and wood.

If you look where the Pink and Black pieces where on the cabin aft, you'll see the Mushroom Vent I made up!

Yes, I'm looking to get the Captain three Deckhands and a Girl Welder. On this size Tug there is two captains one engineer one cook and four Deckhands for 24hr service.
Stern looking down, this is where the Rudder block and post will go!
Be careful not to glue the post to the Block or the Rudder.

As you can see I've placed the Rudder, after the resin has dried over night.
I couldn't solder the Rudder post to the Rudder,
so I drilled a 1/8" hole through the Rudder and Post.
and used a piece of copper wire and hammered it all together!
