Re: greetings

Hi Roy,
Many thanks for your enquiry and concern, and for even noticing that I was AWOL🤓 Everything has not been OK but now getting better.
Spent most of the last two months in heart clinics and cardio specialists (with limited or no internet access) having been carted off in an emergency ambulance on 26th January.
Had a thorough medical MOT🙄 culminating in an aorta heart valve replacement.
Now beginning to regain some strength and stamina, which had been deteriorating over the last year or so until I couldn't manage a flight of stairs without a pause.
Now I can😉
Also, on the site I had noticed an increasing bias towards vintage boats, Aerokits & Co, which is not my main interest. I did my bit for that topic some 8 years ago with the restoration and upgrade of my Sea Scout 'Jessica'. Which I recorded here in a detailed Build Blog. Repeating that process again and again is not my thing.
Naval ships, Dreadnought to present day IS.
Cheers, Doug😎

Re: hollow in the sail

Which picture of “ The Fin” post are you referring to in regards to the hollow in the sail?

Re: hollow in the sail

Do not share these drawings! The original half hull was done by David Westergard, his designer and friend sold me some line drawings, and I put them all in this AutoCadLt drawing as there were no deck drawings. I had to guess based on photos. The photos I posted were found after the model was built.

Re: Your recommended prop

Roy, you recommended to me several months back to not use the nylon two blade prop that came with the MaryAnn but change it with a different shaft and prop. Do you recall?

Re: Your recommended prop

The three bladed prop seen in the photos is 7/8” as to pitch I don’t know, but it move the model faster than needed. I only use brushed motors and this one is no exception.
