I agree with the other posts re these small servos. My original RG65 yacht had such a servo and it worked fine for a while until I fitted a 6.6 volt LiFe battery. Used in many other models without problem but it literally melted the rudder servo. I subsequently found out from Servo Shop that the small servos have a max voltage rating about 5v. I fitted a Ubec to reduce the voltage to 5v and another small servo and that has worked without problem. They are well manufactured and mine had metal gears so are as Ron says suitable for small spaces in smaller models.

Morning Maverick.
I agree with Ron, do not use a micro servo. It will not stand up to the stress and strain.
Most good quality servos as shown in Ron’s picture are good and there are many different types out there.I tend to used brass geared workings as they are more robust, but cost a little more
Re fittings.
Try Caldercraft.
Model boat Mayhem site, there are various outlets mentioned on it.
Cornwall model boats.
to name but three. They are a difficult scale but are out there depending on what you want.
Regards Bill.

For the control of rudder steering, are one of these micro servos strong enough, or do I need a larger High torque servo please.
Also who's the best supplier of 1/12th scale Boat fittings.
