I pack the shroud (tube) full of grease and any excess is pushed out when you insert the shaft. I use Sta-Lube marine grease

Ok.. Now do I pack the shroud with grease...Or do I smear the prop shaft with grease or do I do both...?I have never done this before...Also do I pack the shroud all the way inboard or do only pack say an inch or so from the prop...Please can you advise....

These would do the job.
Search for ‘nylon washers’. There are a lot of sellers who sell multiple sizes, usually giving you two choices, size and quantity.
You need M4 which will usually have a 4.3mm diameter hole. The next choice is quantity. You will notice that it costs less to buy more, sort of, so 20 should be about right.

For what its worth, I use Sta-lube Marine grease. It seems to have the right consistency and it come it a grease cartridge so you can use a grease gun if you have added a zerk fitting and you can also just scoop some out and hand pack.

Thank you..Where are the bearings?The shroud is just hollow....The first option is the best. Now some genius Loktited the prop onto shaft so an added complication....Please can you help...

You can get the washers on eBay from the ‘bolt shop’. I also use these nylon washers.
