My first ever attempt at building a “RC” model boat was in 1972 with an aerokits? Sea Hornet.
I fitted it with an ED marine diesel but at the time could not afford the RC gear. I seem to remember that a single channel transmitter was around £16 and I was earning £70 a month!
I see that SLEC offer an updated kit for £80 and I am very tempted to revisit those early building days.
I am very curious about how much the first kit would have cost back then and wondered if anyone would have that information?
