    Afternoon Chaps.
    So whoโ€™s a silly Billy ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ.
This afternoon I was undertaking a little more work on my HMS Verulam refit blog (check it out if interested) when because of my haste I dropped the โ€œAโ€turret and broke the white metal barrel off right at the breech end.
What to do ? me thinks.
Problem solvedโ€ฆ.Taking a length of 4mm dia copper tube I cut a 10mm length and faced it off on the lathe.
I then slid the copper tube over the stub at the breech end and then pushed the barrel into to copper tube.
Problem solved and a good strong barrel is restored.
In fact it looks a little like the recoil tube on the real thing,so I may do them all the same.๐Ÿค”
A handy tip if you are as silly as me for doing it in the first place
Moral of the storyโ€ฆโ€ฆ..Take your time!!!
    Regards
    Bill.
Never give up.It will come right in the end.
