Well, looks like it's more complicated that I thought.
The extender seems like an interesting idea however I really hoped it might be a simple tweak without adding more components.

It could be the gearing you need to change not the Pot/resistor..

Hi AndyN.

Sorry, I can't help you, I've never opened a winch.

I didn't know that running was determined by electrical resistance. Do you have any pictures?

I will try to document myself to help you, in the meantime I hope that other model makers can help you.

I bought cheap winches that make multiple turns.

I use a servo extender to get 180 degrees from a 180 servo, use them for gun movement.

This might double the sail servo, I say might as I could well be wrong, but it is cheap solution.

Hello, dear builders.

I recently purchased 2 winch servos, one with 4 turns, the other with 2 turns. They are both the same brand but the model number is different. Well, obviously.
Do you think it's possible to to make the one with 2T into 4T? I know some can be tweaked by changing the resistor.

The seller refused to help, btw.
