You have that boat looking very sharp. It looks like it runs well on the water as well. Very nicely done! Dave B

So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.
Hi Rod, "shipshape and Bristol fashion The term may have developed in view of the port of Bristol which had (before the Floating Harbour was constructed) a very high tidal range of 13 metres (43 ft), the second highest in the world. Ships moored in this area would be aground at low tide and, because of their keels, would fall to one side. If everything was not stowed away tidily or tied down, the results were chaotic and cargo could be spoiled. Adjective (nautical, traditional) Tidily tied down and secure.
(figuratively, or by extension) Properly and neatly organised or arranged." ๐๐
Rogal118, "shipshape & Bristol fashion"??? From an early age I heard "shipshape" as my Dad had served in the RCN during WW2. But what does "Bristol fashion" refer to ??

Hi Rogal, enjoy your beautiful model that sails very well.
You worked well and can forget about fires or other disasters (nothing broke, fell off, melted, or fused). You've put the protections in the right place but if you want to feel even more comfortable, read Tomarack's article in the topic "A wiring mess", on this forum, it's the fourth message.
Although very long it is very interesting and accompanied by drawings. Among other things he also talks about fuses. Sorry I only found out about it now even though it's from nine months ago.

Sure am, really happy with todays run. If it wasnโt for the fine drizzle, the sort that wets you through, I would have stopped until the batteries died. But yes very pleased, nothing broke, fell off, melted, or fused so I would say thatโs a success, just got to make the rescue ladder, fit the towing winch in the rear cabin and change the radar motor, then all will be shipshape and Bristol fashion, ready for Sundays sail.
