Ok, got it.
So, the question is, why can't you do what is being done in the Cloud, locally.
At this point, I would suggest its the software you use or editing files that requires the Internet, rather than the printer itself.
Let me preface this next part by saying, ALL my internet and computers are connect to the Internet, when needed, by a 4G SIM Modem/WiFi Router. Zero cables or Satellite dishes locally.
My entire system draws less than 250W at full power, except for, as I checked today, when the BL will be running which peaks at 1600W.
I have a 3000W Pure Sine Wave inverter in my tool box, 230AH of AGL-type batteries and 2 x 160W of panels on the roof of my car. Also a 3.5KW petrol genset as back-up.
My point being, I intend to use this printer sitting on the passenger seat of my car, camped at Lake Eyre where there won't be a Cloud connection.
I have no doubt in my mind I can do it and won't need a Cloud connection to edit, slice, translate or do any other file manipulations/modifications.
I would suggest Ukranian drone makers don't need a Cloud service to work at "the front".
Happy to chat further if you're interested, but, I don't think your problem is the printer itself, maybe time for a software and process review, so don't discount the new BL just yet.
Cheers.
