Hi Hans, following from RHB, have you tied Smit HQ? most tug companies help modelers with information, also who were Orinoco's new owners? have found a few photos of her on the internet but no information. I think that the hull was converted to a luxury yacht when she retired from service???

Smitt- Zwatte Zee and Orinoco

Hans, cannot say for the Netherlands, but in UK we try the National Martime Museum, the various local museums close to ports, shipbuilders and even local model boat clubs. There must be something similar in the Netherlands. I know there is an excellent museum in Amsterdam. The net should reveal sites and contact details

Smitt- Zwatte Zee and Orinoco

Thanks for the reply, I am now building the Zwatte Zee from Billings, and using it as a close start to the Orinoco. I was looking for a scale set of drawings of each ship to see where the differance lay. I would like to get this as close as possible. Thanks HansV

Smitt- Zwatte Zee and Orinoco

Hi Hans, welcome to the forum, not sure if you want a scale set of plans etc, a very good kit is available from Billings and a good look round the internet will get you a lot of line drawings for both ships.
Hope this helps as a starter

Smitt- Zwatte Zee and Orinoco

Hi, I am new to the model boat building club and was wondering if anyone has or where I could find the building plans for "Smitt Zwatte Zee and The Orinoco". Help would be greatly appreciated. HansV
