10 Rater

Thank you, kind sir.
Mine is 79" long by 12" wide......which makes me think it's quite an old one,......I have a lovely PDF sent to me,...see above , which also bears no resemblance to my measurements!
I am in touch with some 10 Rater specialists in London, who I hope can help identify this boat's design.
I can always make a rudder, as you say, I'll not be racing the boat.
I am familiar with the AMYA, having raced America's Cup boats in Texas while I was living there,.....here is a photo of "Oracle", favourite.

Brian
Over hear in the US we have the american model association has all specs on all model sailboats . I have a 10 rater which is 60 inches long 18 inches wide. The keel on my looks same as yours.

My boat is scratch built. Make the rudder out of Fiberglass it worked for me😊.

Just downloaded it, as per instructions, thanks a lot.

Now, if I can find a rudder without having to build or go brand new, life would be complete!!

I thought I had a spare "America's Cup" rudder, but it's hiding somewhere...

Thanks again.

Hi John, to open or save PDFs left click on the icon and then on 'Download' in the top left corner. Windows then gives you the choice of opening or saving! Works on PCs, don't know about the mobile App, don't bother with that - Who needs microscopic pictures!!!? 😉
Cheers Doug 😎
Young at heart 😉 Slightly older in other places.😊 Cheers Doug

Here is a plan for a 10r which may help you with your restoration.

I don't think the name has much bearing on type name but if you could identify the yacht club by the initials under the name you could maybe see if anyone can give you any info. I seem to recall that there are lists of clubs available. I'm not sure where they are published though. Plans from such as Outerzone should guide you as to what is needed for the restoration. Maybe the name could be on their list too. Looks nice .Should spruce up well. Good luck👍

Apologies in advance if this posts twice!
I thought it went through before,.....but.....

I now have this lovely boat, (A 10 Rater, I believe)
No rudder, sails, rigging, or booms.
Can anyone shed light on whether I have correctly identified it, and maybe someone recognises the name?

Looking for spares to restore her to the water.

Regards,

Brian.
