I will follow this up. I had to make the cleats , a little unorthodox but they look ok.
Many Thanks

Several from the 'Riva' series; e.g. jam cleats and tank filler caps you can see in the photos.

From the same source I also got some pear drop shaped red & green running lights, a white mast lamp, ship's wheel. Still to be fitted.
Other possibilities are, The Model Dockyard

or Cornwall Model Boats.

PS the fittings I'm using are nicely chrome plated on brass😊

In Australia we do not have many boating enthusiasts so the market for scratch builders are not there. We have hobby shops but they only sell kits. The main suppliers are in Melbourne called "Float a Boat" They do have quite a lot of boat fittings.
I source a lot of parts from UK from "Model Boat Bits". Steve is quite helpful to deal with but as always the cost of potage kills it.

Thanks for your help. I have seen a lot of photo,s of the Sea Queen on the internet but none show running lights etc. I have had to make the life preservers as I could not find the right size in Australia. I guess I will have to make the lights also.

you can use anything you like really. Subtle, rather than flash for a boat like a Sea Queen. We didn't have much flash in those days! Except for front wing ornaments for Mk 2 Consuls
if you look at any period advertising it will probably have the original fittings shown on any pictures.
Whilst Mersey Marine (THE period fittings company) are sadly no more, there are basic fittings available from Cornwall Models, etc. I also saw quite a few on ebay, but do yourself a favour and have a look on the Modelling Timbers website....http://www.modellingtimbers.co.uk/1.html
The guy who runs it is an absolute gentleman and you will not find better quality or lower prices anywhere. Despite coming from the isle of man his return postage is excellent. He is very friendly on the phone too.
If he doesn't have it, you can also get excellent quality, service and prices from RBModels in Poland. I have bought very good model railway stuff from them, but I noticed that they also do model boat stuff.
Being a tight wad I tend to make all mine that I can't get from Modelling timbers.
Cheers,
Martin
