Taycol supermarine, to which prop.

These days pitch seems to be expressed as a ratio of diameter, usually 1.4. 2.25" is close to 1.3 pitch on a 1.75" prop.

Hi Colin, yes, I interpreted it as 1.75" diameter and 2.25" pitch.

Cheers mate, that sounds good to me. Not sure I understand what the 1.75"x2.25" actually means, I assume it's something to do with the thrust. Like the pitch of a thread.
Cheers Colin.

We all have different thoughts, but mine would be when you go to the lake to try it take them all with you and play around until you find the one that suits you the best. That is how I have found the way to find what suits my boat the best. You can also wait to see what others think and go from there.

Hi Colin,
Taycol themselves recommended a 1.75" x 2.25" (44.45mm x 57.15mm) 3 blade prop. See attached spec sheet. So your 45mm 3 blader would seem to fit the bill. I would go for brass myself.
Just so happens I have a spare Rabeosch 45mm M4 thread right hander I have no use for if you need it.
With luck I'll have your motor reassembled over the weekend.
Either that or you'll get an 'Er Colin ... don't know how to tell you this but ...' sort of email! 😁😁

As I intend to fit my supermarine, after Doug has finished his magic, into a vintage Aerokits Sea Commander, what prop would be best, if I am using a 12v 7ah sla battery. I have available 2.5 inch 4 blade brass prop, 2 inch 3 blade brass, and various plastic 2 or 3 bade, in 30-35-40&45mm. Which would be the correct one to use.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated, cheers Colin.
