Ah knowed I'd seen that unusual foredeck somewhere before!!😊
We identified this model some 7 months ago as being based on the one off Walton Yacht Works 65 footer.👍
Maybe Sidley can help you with the plan Teleg?

Hi Sidley,
Glad I could help resolve the mystery 😊
Clue was the most unusual structure of the foredeck.
I'm pretty certain that this 'one off' never ever wore the number 1258!
I've not seen any other versions with this foredeck structure.
Which of course doesn't necessarily mean they didn't exist!
I can only assume that the model builder used the Pennant number 1258 from sheer nostalgia for a boat he may have served on, but 1258 sure wasn't built like the model you have.
Whatever, have great fun sailing her, post some pics / videos when she's finished please 👍
All the best, Doug 😎

Hi Doug, I have just had another look at the 2642 and I think you have hit it on the head. It is the closest to my boat. Thank you so much for your help. I think you have solved the mystery. Regards Sid

Hi Doug, Just checked that one out. It looks close. I am thinking that there was a few experimental model made and scrapped. The 1258 may have been one.Regards Sid

Hi Dave, Thanks for the reply. I would agree however I built it from a British Model Plan as a Thames model 1258. I am still confused. Regards Sid

Hi Sid,
I have had a good look around but unfortunately I am unable to help.
Although It is a nice neat boat.

If it looks right it probably is.

I agree. Vaguely based on that prototype, judging by the foredeck, but with a lot of poetic license / simplification.
Curious though that the builder chose a 'one off' for the basis but gave it a pinnace pennant number. Maybe he served on the pinnace!?
Whatever, carry on boating folks, Doug😎

Sorry to say this but it doesnt look like anything like any RAF boat that ive seen maybee a concotion of the builders imagination but using a Raf number thats My Opinion

Hi Sid,
If the number is correct she's based on an RAF 60 foot General Service Pinnace.

But the hull shape doesn't fit! See attached pics of number 1261, closest I could find to 1258 but from the same batch.
Nearest I could find that fits the hull and superstructure shape of the model at the bow is the 65ft Walton HSL (High Speed Launch).

See pics attached pics of #2642. She was a 'One Off' which never went into production.
Hope this helps, or does it just add to the confusion!?🤔
