Could somebody please help me Identify this model???

Well would you believe it, not only was Chris B spot on (Thanks Chris), but on finding the box that I mentioned earlier..... I found the plans for the Zwarte Zee, plans for the fire boat and plans for the Caribbean Coaster. Along with assembly instructions and loads of spare bits and bobs that I didn't know I had. The box has been sitting around for 29 years..... I also found an un-touched MTB kit, think I might start putting that together soon too!!! 😊

Could somebody please help me Identify this model???

I think your on to something, I have a box of bits from another boat that I have from my grandad (Caribbean Coaster). I think there are some bits and pieces from this one in the box. I will have to dig it out. Just googled the Zwarte Zee and it defo seems to be identical. Thanks a lot for all your help, that will make the refurb a lot easier now. I will post some pics of progress.

Could somebody please help me Identify this model???

HI Guys, Thanks for all the help so far. I did attach 3 pictures but used the "ctrl" left click method which clearly doesn't work 😯
It is an all wood hull, is 30" long and 1 prop.

HI Scott
Looking at the picture it appears to be some sort of ocean going salvage tug. As well as a side view picture it would help to know the number of props and measurement details? Tugs were very popular in the 70's and 80's and many kits and plans were available to the model builder. is the hull a fibreglass casting? Many modellers used a suitable hull to make a model to their own design so identification may be difficult. However we should be able to identify the type and provide enough info for your restoration. if you look at http://www.tugboats.de/oceanic_e.html there is an example of a more modern salvage tug. Your model is clearly from an earlier era but the pictures may help you identify the placement of your parts.
Good luck with the restoration

Have to agree, we need at least a side view picture to stand any chance of identifying it.
Almost any tug could look like that from that angle.
Best wishes.

Hi,
The first question would be to see more of the boat. Do you have more information? Pictures from the side etc?

Could somebody please help me Identify this model???

HI all, I have recently started to restore the boat In the pics that was my grandads. He passed away 29 years ago and I was left a few boats by him as we used to work on them together. A friend helped me restore my fire tender which I will be putting some pics up of later today. I really want to find out what this Is so that I can get some pics of where parts should live on the model, the glue has perished and most parts are lose. Any help would be great 😀
