While I think of it, the original pictures are much bigger than these and are great for zooming in to get details if anyone wants them e-mailing over..... ๐Ÿ˜›

Hi, I'm sorry if these pictures are on here already, I did search through and couldn't see any.... I'm after a few peoples opinion on colours etc ๐Ÿ’ญ As the pictures are all black and white (grey scale) it is difficult to get the colours correct. A lot of model boats seem to be grey on the deck with white roofs, some with wooden decking, some just white and any number of variations. I'm trying to rebuild mine to be as close to the real thing as possible. in my opinion it looks like the top is all in white (as it matches the shade of the "FIRE" sign). The handrails appear to be brass ends with wooden rails?? Most of the other fittings seem to be either white to match the boat or silver for the tie-offs. The spot light seems to be darker than the monitors so I'm not sure if that is a dark silver or maybe black? Any thoughts??? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Just thought I'd show you guys my boat with the "too fast" brushless setup. I have now put a smaller motor and turned it down on the controller. Almost lost it though ๐Ÿ˜

I have now switched to a tunigy 9 channel tranmitter and turned the throttle down gradually to 25% ๐Ÿ˜ฐ That was about right, so I have now put a lower KV motor in and run it at 55% which is much better. I got told off at the club for running my "speedboat" at the wrong end of the lake ๐Ÿ˜€ Thanks for the advice Dave.

Well would you believe it, not only was Chris B spot on (Thanks Chris), but on finding the box that I mentioned earlier..... I found the plans for the Zwarte Zee, plans for the fire boat and plans for the Caribbean Coaster. Along with assembly instructions and loads of spare bits and bobs that I didn't know I had. The box has been sitting around for 29 years..... I also found an un-touched MTB kit, think I might start putting that together soon too!!! ๐Ÿ˜Š

I think your on to something, I have a box of bits from another boat that I have from my grandad (Caribbean Coaster). I think there are some bits and pieces from this one in the box. I will have to dig it out. Just googled the Zwarte Zee and it defo seems to be identical. Thanks a lot for all your help, that will make the refurb a lot easier now. I will post some pics of progress.

HI Guys, Thanks for all the help so far. I did attach 3 pictures but used the "ctrl" left click method which clearly doesn't work ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
It is an all wood hull, is 30" long and 1 prop.

This boat was left to me by my grandad 29 years ago. I have just recently started to rebuild it with a friend and put it in the water for the first time 2 weeks ago. A bit too fast with the brushless set I had so I will be getting something slower in the next few weeks. The pics are from start to now, more to do as I'm not happy with it (and probably never will be ๐Ÿ˜ฏ ) I have been looking through everyones pictures and they have given me some great ideas. Thanks guys.

HI all, I have recently started to restore the boat In the pics that was my grandads. He passed away 29 years ago and I was left a few boats by him as we used to work on them together. A friend helped me restore my fire tender which I will be putting some pics up of later today. I really want to find out what this Is so that I can get some pics of where parts should live on the model, the glue has perished and most parts are lose. Any help would be great ๐Ÿ˜€
