Wouldn't they go round in circles!!??

Rowing boat id

This is a model my dad made of what his fishing boat was like before he fitted an inboard motor, circa 1975. Have been trying to find what type it is??? But not found a match yet. Its 1/16th scale and is 12" long with a beam of 4.5".
It was originally intended to be rowed by 5 men and possibly 1 to steer.
Ignore the fisherman, he is a 1/12 scale that my wife added for fun.
