"My recommendation is to always get an ESC, capable of being programmed using a card."
Totally agree Rowen,
I have the programming card for the Hobbywing ESCs.
Dirt cheap and dead easy to use👍

Hi Mike and Doug, was unable to research this much earlier.
That Shark ESC looks very much like two I bought from Banggood under a different name.
They work quite well, but are programmed using beeps and tones.
Found that virtually impossible and, after struggling for hours, fortuitously stumbled on acceptable settings.
My recommendation is to always get an ESC, capable of being programmed using a card. Much easier and the results are consistent

Absolutely Rowen👍
That was my immediate thought as well.
The 16BL30 is my standard brushless ESC, following a recommendation back then from Canabus, our Tasmanian friend who seems to have gone AWOL🤔

Mike: the full name to look for is Hobbywing Quicrun 16BL30.

Why do you think you need water cooled for a 30A ESC?
What is the model you are putting it in?
The Quicruns are robustly built, with heat sink and waterproof.
Attached is the user manual supplied with the ESC.
Surprise surprise it's in understandable English😀
First thing to do is set the Running Mode to Option 3; Forward/Reverse (NO BRAKE😊)
I like the other programming options as well; e.g. Timing - you can play with that to obtain more torque or more speed (rpm) as you wish for a particular model😁
Punch; i.e. start acceleration; can be adjusted from Soft to Hard. Soft prevents the scalded cat starts that brushless motors are prone to😉
Hope this helps.
Cheers, Doug 😎
PS; I've long since written HobbyKing off as a 'preferred supplier'.
Too many disappointments with delivery times or unexpected import dues🤔
I buy my HobbyWing and Deluxe Materials stuff (amongst others) from Krick here in Germany.
When they say online they have something available they mean it and deliver in 1 to 3 days😊

I am slowly superseding Hobbyking for HOBBYWING.
Have two x 16bl30 is service and they perform well.
Aircooled, but have not cooked them yet
