"they are too busy making chop suey"
Nope. I doubt that Rick.
Chop-suey is a creation of our American brothers.
A sort of mishmash of Chinese dishes / ingredients adapted to American fast food preferences - 'All In' 🤔.
I don't think that a Chinese chef worth his Sichuan pepper would dream of making Chop-suey😠
I just know that I never ever saw anything remotely like that on a menu during my visits to China.
In some 'établissements' in Beijing I'd probably have been thrown out if I'd even asked for it!🤕
But; whatever tickles your palette😉
Bon appétit, enjoy your meal (邦阿切特, 請享用😋)

Brian,

My better half replaced my old 'cheapy' with a set from Amazon and these are the current prices -

GANZTON Airbrush Set Double Action Trigger Paint Spray Gun Kit Professional Sprayer Air Paint Control Gun with 0.2mm/0.3mm/0.5mm 9cc CUP for Makeup,Tattoos,Cake Decorating,Crafts @£29.99 +

ABEST High Quality Dual Action Airbrush Compressor Complete kit Paint Tool for Art-and-Craft Projects Tattoo Hobby Model Craft Spraying AC06K30W @ £34.99

The second airbrush is crud - BUT, the compressor is good enough for anything from very fine lines at low pressure to whole hulls - it's worth binning the cheap ABEST airbrush to get that alone, or just use it for general priming coats.

The Ganzton airbrush is amazing for the price.
I did polish the needle first, but it's as good as a 'posh' one a mate lent me to try out. Not the cheapest way of doing it, but after a year and a half, it's still going great guns and I ain't changing it for the foreseeable future.

By the way I'm no Amazon fan, but wifey likes 'em so for once they did a good job.

Cheers Andy

Don't see many Chinese panel beaters around these days do you!😁
BTW I've heard that the best panel beaters come from the Caribbean😁
Happy bashing and spraying folks👍

Airbrushes

Hi Martin,
They all work well with the correct cleaning and maintenance. Considering you buy half a dozen cheap ones for the price a basic Badger. Just use some old fashioned pipe cleaners!
I use a Chinese Panel beaters touch up gun that holds about 200ml on a 45 PSI line for major painting.😊😊

Ian,
The other good thing is if a cheap airbrush stops performing as it should then you just strip it down and keep the useful bits such as the 'O' rings.

If it looks right it probably is.

Most of them work well with a bit of tuning and maybe a replacement O ring!

Same here Martin👍
Can get a litre can of WS for similar price of a titchy bottle of Humbrol or Revell thinners.
Dilute to the consistency of milk (NO cream😉) and Bob's yer uncle and what's 'er name's yer aunt😁

Airbrushes

Hi All
You can get the Far East Airbrushes to work better by polishing the needles.
Look on You Tube Plenty info on turning a nasty one into something that works

Hi David,

Not long to wait now LOL!!

One little tip if you are planning in spraying Enamel Paint.

I use Humbrol Enamel paint and instead of paying out for the fancy Enamel Thinners i use good old fashioned 'White Spirit" to thin the paint.
Have been doing this for years and not a single problem and it is a lot cheaper too.

Airbrushes

Hi David,
Try a cheap airbrush from ebay then if it don't go according to plan you have not wasted to much money.

Airbrushes

From what I can remember most airbrushes run at 12-15 PSI for general use provided hat the paint being used is thinned correctly ( Suggest you google for the paint being used) I use Tamiya. Good makes are Badger and IWATA

I also have an Iwata compressor Davis, but the larger one, at the pressure you are talking about, I would use either a Badger 200EX or a Badger 150IL, I have both, and they work great on low pressures.👍

Airbrushes

Hi Rick, thanks for the information, I have had Badger airbrushes in the past but many years ago as just returning to the hobby after a long break. What I have considered is the Iwata Neo gravity fed as the compressor is only low power output.
