This is the scratch built boat of the Scottish Fifie that I completed recently.
As I mentioned before the plans where very difficult to follow and I had a lot of guess work to do in shaping the hull, and quite frankly I was very surprised when it floated so perfectly. I was actually elated to see it float.
Having been a sea cadet in my youth I learnt a bit about rigging and so made up my own idea of what that should look like. The little rope blocks were hand made but not accurate, however from a few feet off they look quite realistic. I have included a set pictures of the boat for your perusal.
It is my intention to build a paddle boat steamer as my next project, I would appreciate it if someone would be in the position to let me have building plans for one with side paddles of approximately 800mm in length. Preferably I would like to build from a wooden kit, but I have been informed that these are like hens teeth.
