UK TUG BOATS 1960S

What an interesting video and for me very nostalgic to see all those tugs on the Thames. A sight I knew so well in the 50's and as an added bonus, there was a background shot of a motor barge which looked to me like the 'Edith May', skippered at that time by my friend Bob Childs. The salvage shots were good too, particularly the attempts at pulling Everard's coaster 'Alacrity' off the rocks. All in all, a video well worth watching. I enjoyed it very much,

Cheers, Nerys.
When the winds before the rain, soon you may make sail again, but when the rain's before the wind, tops'l sheets and halyards mind

Someone may be interested in this old vid on UK tug boats (and a few others) from the 60s.
