She ran it one time, then it sat up for a while…then the boat “donated” her motor and esc to other projects. However, the more I look at the video, the more I think I need to reinstate her to active duty. I was never happy with the paint, I recoated the blue outside the recoating window and it cracked. I’m real tempted to see if I can take the upper deck completely off and do my own deck and superstructure, make her look more the part.
Damn, I have too many projects!!🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for the link Cash - Police Boat runs really well - is your daughter a convert or was this a one off ?

See what you mean as regards the Flasher Bar - wonder why they stopped making it as a unit ? - the old English /Colonial Police Boats tended to have just the single flashing blue lamp and siren. Much noise & lights now .

Did that one only have the one sound ? the original plus the new one posted have 3 different type sirens - one was Fire engine wail - the other I cant remember at this point. Original used a 9v battery so with a 7.2v its not so strident a sound . Took it off to save weight and when deciding to reinstall found it has time expired.

A few years ago I bought a siren/light bar combo for an IMEX Taurus that I converted to a police boat for my daughter Grace. It worked well, the siren was pretty loud the light bar was okay. They don’t sell the combo anymore, but they still sell the siren as a stand alone unit, and a light bar that looks much better than the unit I have that’s also stand alone, and I think they both run off receiver power. The company is RCworld, they have a website and also sell on eBay.

The old siren for the Police Boat has gone iffy - so was looking for a replacement . Original came from a cycle shop and uses the end of a servo throw to switch on/off. Searched and found they have gone much more fancy than the originals from years ago. Easy to use and they are not that loud when powered at a lower voltage - easy enough to make a blue light or even a flashing blue LED could be connected. Here's the latest on Amazon
