At the beach

Yes it is a no gas motoring lake. Very clean! It has a stream running out of it that leads to a set of rapids and Staub Falls.

Looks like a great spot to have a canoe as well. Must google it.

Hi Ron,
Now that looks like a really great holiday, combining some of the best activities and lovely scenery. Have a great time.

When the winds before the rain, soon you may make sail again, but when the rain's before the wind, tops'l sheets and halyards mind

At the beach

At times the wind was nil to just a slight breeze, as one man said to his friend near us, “ a leisurely rc boat”. It sure was, then the wind picked up as the day continued. I got in at least four hours of sailing time, before the beach really got busy. Four swimmers got rather close to it about 100 yards off shore, they didn’t touch it but were about 5’ away. My grandsons know not to grab it.

Several people stopped to inquire about the sailboat and I brought to shore taking it out to show them. Being scratch built and based on a photo we took of a similar design in Switzerland, it was nice to get compliments on how well it sailed.

Looking forward to more sailing of the fleet next week when we take them to Barry’s Bay to sail with a friend who has several sailboats including a Marblehead!

At the beach

We were at Arrowhead Provincial Park camping with the family and while others were out fishing and canoeing, my wife and I stayed in the shade. Enjoyed sailing and the many comments from others viewing the model boat.
