Sometimes I like to stroll and other times I like to run 😊 I like wooden boats too, in fact I’ve raced some very nice wooden boats such as the old Triple Crown and Nimbus; and also bimbled about with them. These days I can afford to have the choice thank goodness. Kind regards Brian ▲

I think one the reasons I build boats is the relaxing aspect. There is something romantic and calming about wooden vessel slowly sliding on the water.
No offence to anyone but I find those racing boats soulless and ugly. ▲

BTW I don’t race for medals, cups, etc. I only race at club level with friends. It’s friendly racing but I find it helps to improve skills while also having a laugh 😊 ▲

I only sail for fun and relaxation! I do not sail in competitions. My buddy and I sail our boats together at his house on a lake a couple days each summer.

There is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of in sailing for fun, satisfaction and realism as opposed to racing with ready- made plastic DF 65s or 10Ms. If nothing else your Comtessa will save you from being bullied into racing with others who maybe take out wonderful hobby a little too seriously!!
