Based on the Sarik Hobbies Katie by David Alderton. Built to be a working version rather than a pristine yacht like the real life 'Breeze', which the original plans were based on. Only recently completed and undergone sea trials, where the usual odd bits were found to need sorting. So far only has her 'core' sails fitted. The topsail has not yet been made, and depending on how things go and her sailing credentials, will see if it is necessary, as storage with a keel to mast cap of nearly 5 feet, the extra 18inches of top mast ,may not be practical.
Finally with the skills of a fellow sailing group member, I have some photos of 3 Daughters enjoying a breeze. He has rightly labelled the first photo as a 'Perfect Morning', couldn't agree more
It has only taken a year, but I have finally finished the Three Daughters by doing the topsail. It really didn't take long just needed the motivation. It will only be used in very light airs, as with a good wind she sails very fast without it. The tiller is removeable for actual use on the water. I now need to find an alternative water to the one I have previously used, as the wind is too fluky, and there is not enough space for her to really get going before having to tack. When I get to the new water, I will post a proper video, I hope.
Bellissima!
Hai un link video per vederla veleggiare? Mi piacerebbe.
Anche io ho preferito delle dimensioni ridotte, in modo che entrasse nel bagagliaio di un'automobile. Hai fatto un gran lavoro.
Beautiful!
Do you have a video link to watch it sail? I would like.
I also preferred the smaller size, so that it would fit in the trunk of a car. You did a great job.
She looks lovely but her size is a little too large for me to handle conveniently. My ideal is a boat that can be put into the car without having to de mast it.
