About this boat
I have started and sold on two of these in the past, the first had very little done to it before I sold it when I moved abroad, and the second was some ten or more years later, which was sold when I moved back to the UK.
I am attaching some pictures in the hope that someone will recognise it and know its history.
The model was bought from someone near Southampton, but he hadn't had it long and didn't know much about it.
The wooden box and display stand are well made and the stand has Dave Metcalf's name on it, so I wonder whether this was one of Model Slipways demo models at some time.
If any of this looks familiar, please let me know. I am always interested in the history of the models I 'rescue' and restore to working condition.

The 87 foot Tsekoa II designed by Robert Allan Ltd. of Vancouver and Built in 1984 by Allied Shipbuilders of Vancouver for Public Works of Canada was used in the maintenance, and repair of docks and other marine structures along the British Columbia coastline and proved to be a reliable and stable vessel in the fleet.
On the aft deck is a Hiab Model Sea Crane 360 which under normal operation is capable of continuous rotation fitted with a hydraulic winch rated at 4,535 kg. Below her aft deck her large hold provides endless options to store expedition equipment and supplies. She is powered by twin CAT 3408 diesel engines offering 365 hp each.
Accommodation consists of 8 bunks in 6 cabins. She has two separate showers and wash rooms. Tsekoa II also has a very well equipped mess room.
Last photo is what was planned for her by the University of Victoria, before they scrapped that plan and had me sell her.
I have a lot of photos of her should you want details.
Cheers
