Due to my love of the Fairey brand, I got a little carried away, and now own three of these smaller 34" Huntsman 31.I'm unsure of the manufacturer of the model, but presume it's a Precedent kit.
My 'eventual' plan, is to have one stock looking 31, like a Fairey factory boat, one race replica, and one converted to 'aft cockpit', rather than the common 'aft cabin'.
Yes, you guessed it, a project.

Actually, I always fancied trying to modify one of these two hulls by making it into a model of the Fairey Spear.
The Spear is like a bang up to date high performance version of the LesRo Sportman model boat…but oh so much prettier. If Will or Chris don’t beat me to it, I will dig out some pictures of this lovely looking craft (when I get home next) that has never been kitted…or even modelled previously by anyone that I know of. How can such an impressive good looking craft remain without having an r/c model made of it? It would be a lovely model at 34” long that could be driven all year around in our traditionally unstable British weather. ….and if that “challenge’ doesn’t tempt Chris to get his pencils out - I don’t know what will…. I share you love of all things Fairey, and admit to having a pair of these 34” examples (with glass fibre hulls) at home ready for assembly….one day…..😎
