I bought this original un-built kit some years ago.

The kit was damp and the wood inside had warped quite badly.

I copied all of the parts in new birch plywood and left all the original parts on a flat surface under a heavy weight for months.

This is a classic British model boat kit originally produced by Hammersmith Model Makers Limited in July 1952 from a design by L.J. Rowell.(Les Rowell).

The kit was intended to be built on a jig, so I followed the kit instructions and built a jig on which I fitted and glued my new copy parts.

Now that the original parts are (mostly) also nice and flat, a second hull can be built on this same jig to make it from these original 1952 parts!
