True Martin, I think I'm starting to get the hang of it now!😂 , mind you you couldn't do a lot with 27Mhz, no fancy ESCs, brushless motors, compact powerful batteries (LiPos) etc. Electric stuff was second to IC in those days. I entered this boat in an offshore 1hr powerboat endurance race and came 3rd out of around 12 boats (mostly IC and Gas boats,-won by a big gas racer) and only had to come in and fill up twice. Most of the other boats dropped out.
Wasn't too bad Martin, as all the others were deep v racers with much larger engines. Mine looked a bit out of place, but the old OS .30 marine was reliable and economical, still have it today, - totally Knackered as it was swapped between planes and boats up till about 8 yrs ago (changed marine head for std head when using in planes.) Was my first ic engine bought in 1968. Still have a bunch of motors stored as all planes were converted to Electric.

Nice job.
Looking at this model you can certainly see how models have changed over the years.

I remember those days.
And as for coming 3rd I bet you were extremely happy that day.
