About this boat
This isn't a diorama in the strictest sense, but allows a little imagination and some story telling.
The "barn doors" open and close, the dock lights and "office" lights are on two separate circuits, The fish cleaning station is actually plumbed for water, there is the obligatory shop radio, and there is an anchoring system all remotely controlled.
It is rather a nuisance to launch and retrieve, but if the weather permits during the summer it may stay in the pond for two or three days at a time. There is another dock that augments this one creating a total of 16 linear feet (32' using both sides,) at 1:18 scale for "fleet" dockage.

I launch this outfit several times a year in my own small pond just to "mess about" as the saying goes. There is no preservative other than an old formula of pine tar, boiled linseed oil, and Japan drier. I wanted the outfit to age and weather naturally and as often/long as it's water-borne it'll outlast me.😊 The second pier is behind "Galley News" in these images.
Except for a Coast Guard 40 footer, (1:12) all of my builds are 1:18 scale so they "fit" the rest of the fleet...(the larger scale also helps an old man's eyes and dexterity as well.)
That is definitely the best dock/wharf i has seen.
Excellent work.
I assume all the woodwork that is in the water has quite a few coats of clear coat or is it resin. ?
