She's finished and sailed well on her first outing on a wet miserable day.

The wind was blowing hard and there was a bit of a swell on the pond at Clevedon, but I was very pleased, she seemed a little bow heavy until I remembered that she is a model of a working boat, not a cruiser and then I realised that she looked right!

Everything worked she turned and ran well, no photos of this one unfortunately it was raining too hard but when she is sailing next time I will add the photos of her on the water.

Really enjoyed building my first model in 52 years a big thank you to everyone who has helped with their advice and encouragement. I will hopefully build another one soon, certainly not as long a gap as the last time!

    Lovely work.
I am glad you have the buzz back and that you continue building.

Many thanks for your kind words, she gave me a lot of pleasure in discovering skills I had not used in 50 years. She has been fun on the water and looks the part, as I have said before if it were not for the encouragement from the members I do not think I would have completed the project.
    Thanks once again

Now that's a good effort for someone who's been away from the hobby for a long time. You certainly haven't lost your skills. A nice boat for a come back and I expect you will have a lot of fun with her on the water.

    Cheers, Nerys

Be careful, make sure your transmitter stays dry if you are out in foul weather!

Glad you were able to see your vessel was sea worthy in a chop.

Looking forward to pictures when you take it out again.
