Me again Roy. It has got raised sides so it’s probably the one you’re thinking of. I used it a couple of times last year when visiting my daughter in Colchester.

It’s in the seafront park on Marine Parade West. Just opposite Trafalgar Road. Not used very much nowadays though.

Here is a photo of the larger pond, is that still there? I found the photo on the Internet but I would have been there in 1946 as this was the first year I had seen the sea. The beaches were not all open as here was barbed wire still in some places.

Hello is it in a formal garden? I think it is where I used to sail my model boats over 70 years ago. I had an Unda wunda submarine.

There used to be a bigger pond with raised sides more towards Jaywick for larger boats. Is that still there?
