Oops couple of spelling errors. Planning should read planking ... filler was the other word spelt incorrectly.

Hi Joe, My planning wasn't too good either. I used balsa strip to make it easier, filled in with filled and lined the interior with fine glass matt and resin. As I often become became in the lake I sail on in S.France I installed an on-board motor. I used part of a fiberglass fishing pole for the last and did away with the rigging to save time at the lake. It sails very well. Ra

this is my first blog!
I got the plans for this yacht (60 pieds translated is 60 feet)from a model magazine (Modele Reduit Bateau Aug 2014) in France (used google translate to suss it out)
Details as follows ---planked on frames - LOA 1344mm - beam 376mm - draught 320mm - mast height 1730mm - displacement 5.7 kg. It has twin rudders set at an angle. Where I sail in South France the wind often drops to nothing so I am fitting a small motor to save walking miles.!

OK. Thanks very much. I'll give them a try.
Last time I sailed the boat I accidentally switched off the tx. The boat shot off at high speed out of control until I realised the tx was off.

HI Mariners
I have renovated a 46 Inch RAF fire boat and have a question re motor and esc
I have fitted a Graupner 600 motor with a probe 12 speed controller esc [which I bought a couple of years ago] when the boat Is running and loses the radio signal for any reason the motor goes Into full speed mode. I have two of these controllers and they both do the same thing!
Anyone know of an esc that doesn't do this ?
Ray
