HI Martin. I would love to see that as I'm finishing a 1/72 scale one. I brought a 70% built Hms Marlborough but converting to an RN one,thinking either Kent,Lancaster or Somerset. I've had to do a couple of mods like changing the Vickers to a kryton version etc. it was mostly tugs n trawlers when I joined but there's more grey funnel stuff now and a few subs as well including my Trafalgar class so it's worth coming down.

Hi. Cheers for that,much appreciated. When I've finished her I'll put some pics on. She was scratchbuilt from the keel up by a shipbuilder in Scotland and won some awards before being passed on. Unfortunately the last owner suffered a stroke and subsequently decided to put his own work to her with a tar brush and additional weapons from toy boats stuck with resin!! I'm hoping to finish her in time for the annual Armed forces week down at our pond in Cleethorpes starting June24th if you're interested,she'll be accompanied by Hermes, Illustrious, intrepid, Andromeda and hopefully Norfolk(Gmd).

HI Martinsperring. I do like the look of your Blake. I'm an ex matelot myself and although I've loved the lines of these ships since building a small scale model when I was a kid I've never had the pleasure of serving on one. I'm currently refurbishing a 1/96 Tiger helicopter/cruiser hybrid at the mo and was wondering what colour you've painted your hull as mine came with bright red and not sure this was the correct colour after the refit.
